"Como Estamos?"

I have made wonderful friends with the women who work at Pinares, and I'm not just talking about the teachers. There is around 20 nannies that ride on the buses with the students, sweep and clean outside, and help out in the office. I have made some great friendships with them over the year. One of my closest nanny friends always asks me how we are: "Como estamos?" She's so sweet and I've been so blessed by our conversations. Last week she invited me over to her house for dinner! Her husband also works at pinares, so I've met him and talked to him quite a bit, but it was wonderful to meet her family and spend time outside of school together. She was making corn tortillas so Adam and I both tried to make them! They were delicious hot off the wood stove. Then she served us baleadas for dinner. They were fantastic, and I left completely full! I'm going to miss her and her husband next year. They have been wonderful to work with!
